Bosman Accounting offers corporate and tax planning services as well as bookkeeping and personal tax services in Vernon, B.C.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices and will be able to work independently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly and quarterly bookkeeping.

  • Effectively communicate with clients through phone and email to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and online banking.

  • Complete GST, PST preparation and filing remittances for CRA compliance.

  • Assist with personal income tax.

  • Assist with corporate year end preparation.

  • Compile financial and accounting reports.

  • Perform data entry.

  • Provide administrative support as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of Caseware/Caseview, TaxCycle/DoxCycle, QBO, Sage, XERO, DEXT, and MS Office suite.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality and privacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in an accounting firm.

  • Certificate in Accounting and Diploma in Bookkeeping or related discipline.

 

Job Type: Part-time working towards full time

 

Salary range between $22 to $30 per hour depending on experience.

 

Expected hours: 20-25 hours per week.

 

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (additional hours as required during tax season)

 

Language:

  • English (preferred)

  • French not required

Work Location: In person
